"MAKE EACH MONTH MEMBERSHIP MONTH"
Fellow Rotarians:
August was membership month, and the best way to help our community is to bring in new members into our organization. When we welcome new members, we bring in fresh ideas and new energy. As Rotarians, we connect with a diverse group of individuals that share our drive to give back. Together, we discuss our community needs wherever we live, and together come up with creative ways to help. We also establish friendships that will connect us across the world. Let’s each of us make a commitment to bring in a new member. Let’s make each month Membership Month!

Had a great meeting with Guest Speaker, PDG Scott Rainey, who gave an update on Rotary's efforts to eradicate Polio!!
We're 99.9% There — Let’s Finish the Fight! Polio mostly affects kids under 5. There's no cure, but there is a vaccine. Just two countries still report cases — Pakistan (3) and Afghanistan (21). But progress is fragile.
In 2024, a resurgence paralyzed 99 children across both countries, spreading into cities and old hotspots. In response, Afghanistan and Pakistan launched synchronized campaigns — over 11 million Afghan children were vaccinated early this year alone!
With polio still crossing borders and hard-to-reach areas posing challenges, the fight continues. Until every child is safe, every child is at risk.
Last year, our district gave $103,500 — that’s $53.89 per member. This year, our goal is $105,750 — but imagine if each member gave $100… we’d hit $200,000!

E-Club Central Texas & Killeen Heights Rotary Peace Pole Project
Rotary E-Club of Central Texas and Killeen Heights Rotary joined together to install a beautiful Rotary Peace Pole at the future site of New Life Village. New Life Village provides a safe, clean independent live-in structures in a small community setting to youth ageing out of foster care. Along with professional and volunteerred lead resources that support their journey with dignity, love, excellence and compassion.
E-Club of Central Texas Rotarian Faith David, took the lead to collect and distribute school supplies to primary and secondary students in Liberia, where poverty often prevents children from accessing education. So far, we've helped over 800 children, giving them the tools and confidence to succeed in school and build brighter futures. With your support, we aim to reach 500 more children each year. Join us in making a lasting impact.
