I feel like New Years eve, waiting for the big apple to fall at midnight as I hand Jerry the Rotary Bell. Charles Dickens in a Tale of Two Cities said it well. "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair."
It has been quite a year as we endured the pandemic, and the polar vortex but it was quite a year as we did global grants, food drives, butterfly garden, gave away tree seedlings, Tacos for Teachers, giving and caring for each other. We had fun and we had sadness.
I am thankful from the bottom of my heart for each of you as we discovered a new way of being.
We begin a new year under Jerry's leadership as we install 3 new members and a fourth one coming up. We are beginning two new projects- the Four Way Test Contest and the Green Steps Committee on supporting the environment plus a September 30 Bat Cruise as a fun fundraiser. It will be a great year and I am looking forward to working with each of you and thank you for your love, support and friendship.
